This might be the result of a blockage in the cordless stick vacuum’s intake path. Every vacuum cleaner will get clogged from time to time. It is important to regularly inspect the mopstick vacuum openings (both top and bottom) for blockages. For easiest access, disconnect the handheld unit from the mopstick and remove the beater bar from the head before checking for blockages. Most clogs will occur at the bottom intake opening. Grasp and remove any visible fiber, hair, or debris using your fingers, tweezers, or other small implement. To clear deeper blockages, carefully run a flexible yet rigid tool (like a thin wire coat hanger) into both top and bottom openings to dislodge any “hidden” clogs.
